TorPASS May 2015: Hands On: Capturing and Managing Data in Microsoft Azure Data Services.

Join us for a special Microsoft Azure hands-on session on Capturing and Managing Data in Microsoft Azure Data Services.

In this session you'll hear about the data and database-related Microsoft Azure services from Karen Lopez, Sr. Architect at InfoAdvisors and a SQL Server MVP.

  • SQL Server in VM
  • SQL DB
  • Document DB
  • HDInsight/Hadoop/Hbase
  • Tables And Blobs

Bring your laptop and join with a group -- we'll be getting hands-on with some of the features.  Once you register, you'll get more information about what you need to bring and how the group exercises will work.

We will also discuss use cases for each service, which data stories they best fit, and when to consider them as part of your next data platform project.

This month's meeting is sponsored by Microsoft, so we have some great prizes, including hardware and software.  Due to the hands-on nature of this session, we have a limit on the number of registrations, so get registered early.
